Or in my case, the serious lack of it!!!
I haven't been in a serious relationship for almost 4 yrs now and i assure you it isn't entirely by choice. I hate to admit it but the dating pool does get considerably smaller as you get older as a woman *unless you have tons of cash and are willing to buy yourself a relationship*
You would think the weight loss and  increased sexiness would help my matter, right???
Sadly, i had better toasters and suitors at my unhealthiest....
Now i have 3 types of guys on my case.
The hot young fine boys
These I meet through either hanging out with  my baby brother or social media. They are fascinated by the idea of a sexy older chick who is most likely sexually mature and open to play. They give me lines like "I love older women, they know what they want and go for it not like all these small girls that like to waste time" which really means  "I am  too lazy and horny to take my time out to woo a woman. I'm a fine young boy who will dick you down good"
I'm getting you baby boy......

The young married men
I bump into these ones mostly at airports, when i drag my lazy ass to go dancing somewhere  and strangely enough supermarkets....*hmmmmmm, we'll come to my theory on that later*I'll be honest, these are the most annoying.  URRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH
And it isn't for the reasons you think. I'm not even coming from the "moral"point of view.
Most of the ones I meet are  just finding their feet in life. They have been married  from between 3-10 years at most, some more successful than others of course.
Now where I have the biggest problem is that they  come at me with the exact same raps as the  hot young fine boy with rock hard abs and who can be on call 24/7 to treat my body and my ego right
"Guy, didn't anyone tell you that once you are married you are an aristo???  Go and build a life first and settle your family before you even think about cheating *if you must* you can't be serving the same raps as a six packed fine boy.
 Dress biko...
See ehhhhn, I'm not here to preach to anyone. I keep it real and let me just say this..... There is absolutely no point dating a married man who isn't helping you financially and 90% of this group are still struggling with rent and being able to go on a family vacation once a year. Dude, you aren't ready for a mistress *because that's exactly what I'd have to be in your life considering your circumstances*
The horny Daddy
Ahhhhhhhhhhh.......these are my favorites. They are so funny in how they express themselves so at the very least you  are entertained.  These guys chased women in the times of letters and phone calls *younger men seem to only know how to be pressing buttons on smart phones.....Hissssssss*
They come with  flowery english ,plenty compliments, always ask if you have eaten and then ask when you can come to the guest house. One once said to me "i want you to be walking all over me like you walk your dog" it didnt make a lot of sense but like i said, they are definitely entertaining.
Daddy, you go wound o!!!!

So with these choices it's pretty obvious why I'm still single, right?

In conclusion, i'm open to being introduced to nice gentlemen between the ages of 45 and 60 *yeah, i'm ok with being the right guy's "baby girl"*
I have no issues with tribe, religion or race. I am an equal opportunities lover. All i ask is that he's financially stable, * i have become accustomed  to a certain lifestyle* reasonably good looking, kind and open to dealing with a sweet, funny, smart but opinionated woman in his life.

Remain blessed and fabulous

    Oh my gosh.
Thanks a lot Boki: in fact, I love you (no homo) for this piece. Truth is most upwardly mobile, young women (not just the middle aged), who have a sensible head on their shoulders and are not willing to “settle”, are facing the same dilemma.

    Dear Boki,

Your honesty is refreshing , this post made me laugh like a hyena, for a moment I even forgot that I just received a quotation of N2,000 for a paltry 5 litres of petrol.

Ah, the murky waters of the dating pool, one must be armed with those scuba diving suits and snorkeling thingies to wade through, lol

    Great blog!

Aww Boki (actually sis if you dont mind cos im just 23).I came across your IG page and straight up stalked you(yeah creepy me) but i love you sis. You are so fun and real. Im also ijesha just like your mum (yeah creepy stalker me). We are sisters in my head o whether you like it or not. Lol. Currently a size 18 trying to loose weight as well. Anyways concerning this post, just wanted to drop a word of encouragement if it can be considered so. My mum got married recently at the age of 44 (she had me earlier obviously). She told me one day ‘well my child i think its just going to be you and i forever’, weeks later she met a wonderful man I’m happy to call dad today. So my sister your prince charming is around the corner and he’ll treat you like the queen you truly are. kizzez!!!!

Ahhhhhhh…. Thank you for sharing this. You have given me hope. I’m so happy for you and your mum. I tap into that annointing biko. AMEN!!!!
You are young enough to be my daughter sef so Sis is just fine. 😁😁😁. Keep me posted on the weight loss journey and if you ever need any tips or just words of encouragement, biko email me. It gives me joy to help in any way I can. God bless you for your kind words.

Boki, I love this post. I love how you write. Just like you speak. So entertaining. I can attest to the older men and their strange wants, flowery comments and basically daddy complex. It’s interesting. Young married guys are really more of a nuisance, you’re right.

Something uncertain and confused about their chase. Eeehn.. and because they’re still rather new to the game hanging out with them becomes a shadow contest. (find a hidden spot we can’t be seen) hilarious stupidity.

Any who, funny post. Love it..xo

“Guy didn’t anyone tell you, Once you are married you are an aristo” my sentiments exactly. I get really cross with guys who would bad mouth girls when we were in school about girls and sugar daddies who are now doing what they moaned about now they have a bit of loose change. Talk about kettle calling pot black.

    • Boki June 9, 2015 at 5:30 pm Reply

Ahhhhhhh Bimpe, you gerrit!!! I can handle the ones who realise that they are now sugar daddies sef. It’s the idiots that want to do “osho free” that piss me off. Dress biko..
Thanks for stopping by and commenting dear.

My dear, this is my first visiting here. I’ve read a couple of ur other topics before I got here but il comment on this one. I’m not yet middle aged, I’m 30 infact but pretty smart. The funny thing is, I wonder if that is why all my relationships with Nigerian guys here never worked out. Right now, I hv the most amazing boyfriend, he is African American, dude is educated and from a very educated family too but he is head over heels for me. He always says he fell flat for me cos of my intelligence and to even think it’s same reason I never really could maintain a naija boy cos according to them, I like analyzing too much. Even I at some point even believed i need to tone it down a notch cos I’m perceived arrogant. You sound like u re just focused on Nigerian men only cos u mentioned tribe and religion, I didn’t notice u say race or country unless I missed it. Maybe u might wanna also go beyond naija guys too? Finally, i love your honesty, I love your simplicity. You make people feel at home with you. You will make an amazing wife and mother. Best believe. Your man is pit there and you will meet him soon. Gbado Anya

Thanks for your kind words. God bless you. I’m an equal opportunities lover o! Race is certainly not an issue for me as I’ve dated interracialy before.
