I get asked a lot about my hair regimen so I decided to do a post with pictures and a blow-by-blow commentary.
I hope this is helpful to you budding naturalistas out there.
I have to add that this is what works for ME but I'd like to think that this would suit most natural hair types.
I try to do a deep conditioning treatment at least every 2 weeks and I make my own DC mix myself. It consists of Coconut oil, Shea butter, Organics Carrot oil cream, Honey, Glycerin and whatever conditioner I have lying around. My current fave is "Vitale Olive oil hair mayonnaise"
When I mix it all up, it looks like this

Yeah, I know it looks like baby poo but it's amazing for my hair.
So this is my hair to start with.

I like to apply this conditioner on dry hair to prevent excess dripping and general messiness.
Hair after being thoroughly drenched in the conditioning mix.* I apply in sections and finger detangle as I go along* Once I've lovingly covered every strand, I put in about 5 or 6 big plaits.

Cover with a shower cap and tie your hair away for a minimum of 4hrs. If you have time in your hands you can do what I do which is sleeping with it on.

This is what it looks like after about 10hrs and rinsed with Apple Cider Vinegar for amazing shine. *I make my rinse with one part ACV to 3parts of water. Asides from the great shine, your hair smells amazing afterwards

Now we get into styling . I applied these 3 products but I do switch them up from time to time. The only constant is my Cantu leave in conditioner. That product is amazing!!! I can't gush enough about it.

After applying the styling products, I put my hair in plaits and let it air dry or if you are in a hurry you can use a blow dryer on medium. I am personally scared shitless about applying ANY heat on my hair so I just let it dry naturally.

When the hair is dry and plaits let out....this is what it looks like
Y'all know i'm all about this blog being as interractive as possible so if you have any tips or recommendations to make, biko feel free to share them here. Thank you.
Have a great day folks!!!!
